Hochwang, Switzerland

Introduction

Treff-Punkt Hoch-Wang or just St.Peter's by the locals, this is a tiny unasuming resort the opposite side of the valley from Arosa/Lenzerheide/Davos and couldn't be more opposite if it tried.

One of the slowest chairlifts will take you above the treeline, and then its a whippy t-bar to the resorts summit and thats really about it; but you shouldn't completly ignore the place, as it does afford a good mix of slopes and some good easy off-piste.

For hard-core shredders the place does lack pitch, but there there are plenty of gulleys, wind-lips and bumpy terrain to pull tricks off. You can usually find some untracked areas days after the last snowfall, especially if you are prepared to do a few short hikes.
