The Alps have had very warm weather in recent days, although it is getting cooler again now and up to 50cm of snow has fallen on the Austrian, Swiss and German Alps in the past 2 days. in North America there have been still more big snowfalls with whistler receiving 30cm (a foot) in 24 hours and resorts in Utah reporting up to 1.4m (nearly five feet) of snow in the past week

A-basin is the last of the Colorado resorts to close for the season after opening way back in October. Mammoth in California still has 29 runs open and is scheduled to stay open until July 5th

Low temperatures and fresh snow for Alpine glaciers, Northern Europe's highest ski area opens for summer ski season. Six ski areas still operating in North America, some reporting fresh snow. Northern Europe’s highest peak opens for summer ski season. Skiing under midnight sun begins at Riksgransen.
