Sugar Bowl, USA
Introduction
Sugar Bowl has numerous points that it likes to draw to people’s attention, such as the fact that it is one of the oldest resorts in California and was fathered by no less than Walt Disney 60 years ago. However, don’t be alarmed; Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse are nowhere to be seen, although many of the skiers here are a right bunch of Dumbos.
Sugar Bowl is a nice little gem of a place that should keep you amused for a few days, but it should be pointed out that this place can become a little crowded over holiday periods etc. The terrain is evenly split over three main areas that are connected, Lincoln, Mt Judah, and Mt Disney. Lincoln and Mt Disney offer some of the most testing runs with a cool selection of black trails and a couple of double black diamonds. Mt Judah has the most sedate terrain and best for beginners and intermediates. The resort offers base facilities where you can get snowboard hire.
