Loon Mountain, USA
New Hampshire breeds a lot of resorts, most of which are frankly crap. However, Loon Mountain is one of the state's better offerings with a good friendly snowboard attitude. Located in White Mountain National Forest, Loon is the highest mountain in New Hampshire and a very popular resort that attracts a lot of punters. The resort has been going through a multi-million dollar expansion programme and has recently expanded the ride area with new lifts and services. The 275 acres of terrain is nearly all covered by snow cannons, so when the real stuff is lacking, they can still ensure good coverage. Despite Loon's small size and the odd lift line, it's a good place to ride, with a mixture of varied terrain to appeal to most recreational boarders of intermediate standardHotel search
