Introduction
Powder Mountain can be considered as Utah’s best kept secret. It is just outside of the small mountain town of Eden, north of Salt Lake City, and does not attract the crowds like many of the larger resorts near Salt Lake City and Park City. The resort has a decent 2800 acres of lift served terrain, however the real joy of the resort is to make use of the shuttle, snow CAT and the guided tours to give you another 2800 acres of pristine backcountry.New for season
06/07: Hidden Lake chairlift will be replaced with a new high-speed quad chairlift, the Hidden Lake Express. Will cut journey time in half.
05/06: new Hidden Lake Terrain Park, will offer features for more advanced park riders. The park on Hidden Lake trail contains handrails, tabletops, a spine hit, and a quarterpipe. The park is open during normal daytime operation hours, seven days a week and is groomed nightly.

Snowcats drop you off at the top of Lightning Ridge providing 700 acres of powder. A 30min hike to James Peak gives access to a number of chutes and bowls. $8 single trip. Group tours availavle $80/125 half/full day accessing huge diverse virgin backcountry.
