Crystal Mountain, USA
Introduction
Located mid-way into Washington State, an hour and twenty minutes from Seattle, Crystal is yet another yankee freeride classic, unspoilt by skiers, for riders in the know. The terrain is spread out over four peaks, with an awesome amount of backcountry riding. Over the next few years, the planned investment programme will deliver new lift facilities and improve existing services. It will also raise Crystal's profile which may have the adverse effect of bringing in more skiers - presently there is a balanced mix, leaving the slopes crowd-free and lift queues non-existent.New for season
2006 and onwards. New tram planned once they can sort out the cost and expected to start summer 2007 and take 2 years. Also new Northway chairlift planned.
