With a good old fashioned chalet girl job in Morzine 6 years ago. In between baking inedible sponge cakes and cleaning toilets I fell in love with snowboarding. After that first season I moved Edinburgh to go to University and continued riding everywhere and anywhere, dry slopes, the Scottish highlands and Summer Camp in France, ensuring that over the following four years considerably more snowboarding then studying took place.

Graduating University in 2005 with a first class MA in Geography, sporting Blues for my ‘contribution to snowboarding (?!) and a deep set goggle tan, I have since been travelling the globe snowboarding, competing and having the time of my life.

Recent highlights have been starting up an accommodation company for the New Zealand snow season – www.summersnownz.co.uk, and winning the Brits Slopestyle.

Can’t pick one so I’ll go for three – one for every occasion!

Winter Northern HemisphereMorzine in France. Where my snowboarding addiction started and undoubtably one of the best all round resorts in Europe. Fun accessible free riding, an entire valley of undulating ‘back flip’ kick spots, three epic snowparks and a beautiful French Village to call home. Returning to Morzine is like coming home to a classic Sunday roast!! Unbeatable.

Winter Southern HemisphereSnowpark New Zealand. The only resort in the world built by shredders for shredders. There’s nothing here but the best snowpark in the world, a couple of hundred of the happiest riders in the world and loads of sheep and sunshine. I have happily chucked my bikini and given up Summer since discovering Snowpark NZ.

Summer CampIceland Park Project. Twenty two hours of daylight enabling you to skate, surf and snowboard in one day. No lifts, no queues, no shops, internet or bars. Going to Iceland Park Project is like going snowboarding on Mars.
