Burton High Fives 2014
On the 5 Star level the tour will continue with the 3rd edition of the Burton High Fives in Cardrona, New Zealand from September 14-20, with Slopestyle and Halfpipe competition for men and women taking place on the last 2 days. The webcast will show the entire competition and will be accessible via www.burton.com/HighFives which is also the portal for the latest details on the event. The third annual 2014 Burton High Fives presented by MINI returns once again to Cardrona Alpine Resort in Wanaka, New Zealand from September 14 – 20th. This six day invitational event kick starts the 2015 Burton Global Event Series. On top of being a truly one of a kind event, this event provides opportunity for international athletes to earn 5 star World Snowboard Tour points as well.
This year’s unique competition brings together 60 of the world’s top pro and rookie snowboarders for halfpipe and slopestyle contests, along with Kiwi-inspired adventures throughout the Wanaka area. New for this year, much more importance will be placed on the results from the entire team, more to come on that. Here’s a brief rundown of what these invited riders can expect at Burton High Fives:

We kick things off on Monday, September 15th with the 3rd edition of the infamous High Fives team selection. Once the teams are formed, we’ll roll into day two with some off-hill activities around the Wanaka area. In true High Fives fashion, we’ll be keeping the specifics of these first two days under wraps so that the riders are pleasantly surprised when they see what sort of challenges lay before them.
Next up, classic snowboarding events will take center stage with riders competing in a world-class slopestyle and halfpipe competition from September 19th - 20th.
