lights up Zurich

Mon 29 September 08

46,000 visitors over the 3 days witnessed some fantastic snowboarding, freeskiing, Skateboarding and Freestyle motorcross. Full details and an exclusive photo gallery awaits ...

All Stefan Gimpl could say after cleaning up the snowboarding was ich bin gail (I am horny), and fairplay to him after 3 days of riding and after event parties in front of a crowd of 46,000. was started was back in 1997 and it's home is at Landiwiese which is on the edge of Zurich lake, a 20 minute walk from the centre.

Friday & Saturday looked liked it could belt it down at any stage, but on the final day the sun came out to sparkle off the cheap bling and crowd sat back, rolled plenty of fat ones and enjoyed the wonderful spectacle.

The big air ramp was huge and visible all over Zurich lake, 8m high and flanked 2 sides by the motorcross dirt ramp and the skateboard halfpipe.

Over the space of the 3 days the competitors of each disciplines were whittled down to the final 4 for a quick fire finale.
