Argentinean Resorts Open for the season!
The Argentinian season get underway with a number of improvements to its major resorts.
The Argentinean resort of Las Lenas is building a brand new quad chairlift.. The Doppelamyr quad will be able to move upto 2100 people per hour onto the slopes. This development sees South America firmly place itself as one of the upcoming places to ride. The resort officially opens on the 20th of June.
Further additions in the South America region include a new magic carpet lift at the resort of Cerro Castor that has extended its beginners area, further investment has been made to renew rental equipment and additional safety nets around the mountain.
Caterdal Alta Potagonia is set to open for the season on the 23rd of June and has invested heavily with the addition of 3 new snowcats and a new signal system at the base of all of its lifts. Further to this a new ticket office has been opened near the princess 1 chairlift.
The resort of Chapelco has launched a brand new snow park that will operated specialized instructor camps with expert tuition. Expert park shapers have also been brought in to improve the freestyle opportunities at the resort. As well as this the resort which opens on the 23rd of June has also launched magnetic ski passes and a smartphone app.
Cavihue opened for the winter season on the 15th of June and was one of the first Argentinean resort to open for the 2012 season.
