Eddie the Eagle Chills out from theatre tour!
SKI JUMP OLYMPIAN TAKES TIME OFF FROM “TRY HARD” THEATRE TOUR TO CHILL OUT
On Tuesday 30th May 2017, the world’s best-known ski jumper, Eddie “The Eagle” Edwards, visited Manchester indoor snow attraction, Chill Factore, to take a break from his ‘TRY HARD’ debut theatre tour.
The former Olympian, who became the first competitor to represent Great Britain in ski jumping in 1988, announced his 17 UK theatre ‘audience with…’ style tour back in April. Eddie paid a visit to the UK’s longest indoor real snow ski slope to chill out as he knows best, with a spot of skiing.
Morwenna Angove, CEO at Chill Factore, said: “It was a pleasure to welcome Eddie back to Chill Factore to enjoy our slope. We’re very passionate about developing British snow sports talent and Eddie is a great example of that ‘can do’ attitude that inspires so many to get into skiing and snowboarding alike.”
Commenting on last year’s Eddie the Eagle movie starring Taron Egerton and Hugh Jackman, Eddie said: “The film was great but my show tells the whole story of my life including some extra bits that are not publicised such as my Law degree and my hit in Finland.
“I’m working closely with Chill Factore on some plans for its 10th Anniversary later this year so I expect I’ll be back in Manchester very soon to hit the slope again!”
Up until July, guests at Chill Factore can learn to ski or snowboard with a taster session, coupled with an hour’s pass to the Snow Park to enjoy Downhill Donuts, Luge Slip ‘N’ Slide, Sledge ‘O’ Mania and the Snow Luge, by taking advantage of its COMBO offer is currently half price at just £35pp. For more information visit, http://www.chillfactore.com
