Mt Washington, Canada
Introduction
Just off the west coast of Canada and floating in the Pacific Ocean is Vancouver Island, which is home to a number of resorts. The most notable and indeed the biggest is Mt Washington, which is located right in the middle of the island. Over recent years, large amounts of money has been spent on upgrading the whole area to make it modern and more fashionable. The amount of terrain available here is pretty cool - offering a good mixture of off-piste, powder, trees and well-groomed runs.
As Mt Washington grows, so do the crowds, therefore be warned that the slopes can get busy at peak times.
