30 miles, or 40 minutes from the capital is El Colorado, Chile's biggest resort. Being so close to Santiago has its draw backs as the slopes can often get very busy with Chile's high earning city dwellers who have been coming to the resort for skiing, since the thirties.
The 25 marked out trails cater for everyone's needs especially advanced riders although the off-piste is a bit naff.
