Perfect late season snow

I went to Levi in mid-April and had a brilliant time! I've been all over the Alps and the Rockies but really enjoyed the experience in Finland. The slopes were short compared to most big resorts but enough to keep you busy for a week. The parks are pretty good and well kept, as it's so cold in winter the snow was still in perfect condition and I found untracked powder days after it snowed last. Something which was great is never having to queue for the lift, ever! There are loads of other things to do like snowmobile trips and ice fishing which all add to the fun. At the bottom of most of the slopes are wooden teepees with a roaring fire to cook sausages on or to keep you warm while drinking a beer. Altogether a great place for a final week on the slopes when most of Europe is fighting through slush.
Its all about the parks

Went for a week mid Feb. Daylight wasnt really an issue apart from flat light but the flood lights were on most of the time anyway! The snow conditions were excelent, soft fluffy powder every where. Some nice tree runs off piste. Not the steepest of hills but plenty of fun to be had. Especially in the well built and maintained snow parks. Kickers and rails were perfect and floodlit until 8. Local riders ripped!
