Rogla, Slovenia

Introduction

Rogla is 25 miles from Ljubiljana, Slovenia's capital and is easy to reach by car, taking the E59 highway, exit at Slov.Konjice, from there on you just follow the signs to the summit. Although Rogla recently hosted the Youth Snowboard World Championships, this is a very flat resort and not at all challenging. It's laid back and a family hang-out with only a few steep runs which still don't make it worth spending a whole day here. What does make you wanna come back though is the excellent good and cheap pizza place at the summit and the chance to go snowmobiling. You can rent snowmobiles for an hour or all day and go on tour with some friendly guides even at night which adds a special thrill.
