Waterville Valley, USA
Introduction
Waterville is an easy-going, laid back place that is part of a programme called the Peaks of Excitement, a group of resorts working together. This means that your lift pass can be used at over 20 other places, giving a combined area of around 2,000 acres. The resort is only two hours from Boston and can be easily reached by bus or car. The slopes are a two minute drive from the village and serviced by a regular shuttle bus to the lifts.
Waterville really tries hard to please snowboarders, with four fun-parks. However, the resort is a busy place at weekends, and being quite small, it can feel a bit cluttered at times. Advanced riders don’t have a host of challenging trails, in the main this is an intermediate’s and fast learning novice’s resort.
