The village is about six miles from the main slopes and is reached by a free shuttle bus.

Nightlife

Stowe doesn't have the most radical night-life, although you can eat and drink well in a number of restaurants and bars, with the cool, friendly locals. The Rusty Nail is a hot spot for beer and music as is the Shead which does a mean burger and has good beer.

There are plenty of places to lay your head along the road to the lifts, with the usual choice of condos and B&B's.
