Pila, Italy

Pila is an excellent free riding resort. Not too crowded either but enough to keep things lively.
well kept secret
Tue 7 September 2004 jambo
I have been riding in the aosta valley for 8 seasons most of that time at pila, and I keep going back. For those who keep their eyes open there is plenty to do in pila and now that they are putting more permanent park fixtures it only gets better. It's not huge, but there is every type of riding you could wish for and it's rarely crowded.
Great for a cheeky weekend

Stay in Pila (slopeside) or Aosta town, and get the gondola to the resort each day. Very good snow mid December, and enough runs to keep you happy for 3 or 4 days, with plenty of off-piste, and good value food & drink.
