Cardrona, New Zealand

Cardrona lies off the Crown Range road between Wanaka and Queenstown. Shuttle bus services operate from both towns, so it is accessible wherever you choose to base yourself. The last few seasons has seen the major NZ resorts really step up a gear in developing decent terrain parks and pipes. Cardrona being no exception with a 1000m terrain park and 4 half-pipes which this year has attracted the likes of Burton to hold the NZ open there. Although this may not be in the super league of big resorts, the humble offerings here are never the less acceptable and will appeal to all levels and style of rider. If you are moved by the steep and deep then you won't be disappointed with such areas known as Powder Keg and Arcadia Chutes reached off the La Franch chair.
