There is some off-piste terrain, but it's all covered with dense forest, so the local snowboarders prefer heli-skiing tours to the nearby Mamai mountains where you can get 5 hours of powder snow freeride for $300.
Might like some spots at the forest, and there's also a big air at the bottom of the mountain. Baikalsk regularly holds freestyle championships, check out their website for the schedule.
Will enjoy the place, as most of the runs are long and flat, there's usually enough snow and most runs are well-maintained. By the way, Baikalsk is the only resort in Siberia where you can rent hardboot snowboard equipment.
Will be satisfied with long easy runs at the bottom of the mountain.
