More northern hemisphere ski areas open than southern hemisphere for the first time in four months. Ruka will be first non-glacier resort to open in Europe and the first in Scandinavia this weekend. Despite being an expensive location, this is a super good resort with great snowboard terrain, and excellent local services. If you want to ride an amazing park with something for every one and which is groomed and maintained daily, this is the place to come.

Freeriding: 60% - Plenty of trees and good steeps
Freestyle: 95% - Top 5 parks in the USA. Small to Big
Pistes: 70% - Good range , easy to hard groomed daily
