Tue 06 August 13
The 19th edition of freestyle.ch Zurich will happen at the Landiwiese from September 21-22, 2013
Once again freestyle sport at its best will be offered at the Landiwiese in Zurich, Switzerland. The 19th edition of freestyle.ch will take place on September 21 to 22, 2013; an event, which affected essentially the history of freestyle and brought the sport to a general public. The visitors can look forward to an exciting weekend including performances of international top riders in the disciplines snowboard & freeski big air, FMX & MTB dirt jump and skateboard in combination with varied side-events on the Landiwiese and parties all night long. Best action, best entertainment, best atmosphere on a late summer weekend in Zurich is already guaranteed. The pre-sale for freestyle.ch 2013 tickets has started.
FREE and STYLE
The action packed spectacle in big air, dirt jump and skate facilities will start on Saturday, September 21, 2013, at 11 am. The whole day is characterized by the style sessions. Once again in its 19-year history freestyle.ch will call the shots due to this re-creation of the event-programme. In times of athletic performances, that seems to be unreachable, freestyle.ch is offering to the riders a platform, which gives them space for individuality and personal expression. FREE and STYLE should be written again in capital letters. Impressive, aesthetic and comprehensive tricks will convey the fun of the sports and the seemingly lightness of flying to the spectators.
The final highlight on Saturday will be at 6 pm the crossover session. In that legendary show contest riders of the disciplines snowboard & freeski big air, FMX & MTB dirt jump will demonstrate their abilities contemporary, getting encouraged and judged by the public.
CONTEST for US$ 100.000
Sunday, September 22, 2013, is the contest day: who will be the winners of the five freestyle.champ titles 2013? For the riders it is also a matter of US$ 100.000 prize money. Revenges and challenges, new tricks and combos will be guaranteed by the board and ski artists, who start up their (Olympic) season at freestyle.ch, and by the bikers, who have reached the end of a thrilling contest-year. They will be called for technic, style, tactics and endurance to get from the qualifications to the finals and to jump on the top of the victory podium.
Whether snow, wood, dirt, asphalt, steel – all these surfaces are used by the freestyle heroes for tricking. The crowd will admire them, but can also experience themselves: snowboarders and freeskiers are welcomed to jib on the Laax Urban Stairset and challenge some pro-riders. The Skate Plaza and the Pumptrack as well as lots of cool booths and interactive stations will be provided in the Label World, where products of the freestyle-world get exhibited. And finally, apart from the exceptional sportive performances, there are a number of things to listen, to watch and to win on the freestyle.ch area.
SUPER HEROES and TICKETS
Five sports plus the parties are the gimmick for the freestyle.ch 2013 campaign. Six super heroes will land in Zurich until September 20, 2013 to accompany the event. About 30.000 visitors are joining every year freestyle.ch, so the best will be to secure the tickets right in time.
