Silver Star, Canada
Resort life
Off the slopes, Silver Star's old-fashioned Victorian theme is by far the maddest village you’ll ever board from. Silver Star has a good range of accommodation and although not kicking, it does have a few bars which are fine for a drink and a bite to eat. The best bar is Long Johns pub, which often has live music. Those on a budget should stay at the hostel where many of the resort staff hang out, it's a good place to meet a local who can show you round. The town of Vernon is located only a short distance from Silver Star and offers a greater selection of facilities. Vernon is the place to go for a lively Saturday night out and to eye up some local skirt.
