Freeriding, terrain parks and pistes
For some nice and mellow Freeriding head up chair 2 up around Ptarmigan's Roost. Chair 8 is the spot in the Zip Basin with the top being all skate park style with little wind lips and double ups, then dip into the trees you'll find a little warming hut and a bunch jibs made by the local shred heads! Also off of chair 8 is a back country access gate that gains you access to some incredible tree lines! If you really want to challenge yourself hit chair 9 and hike the ridge for some steep lines and chutes.
For the terrain park go up chair 1 and take the Cat Walk to Tempest. The park is small with some mellow jumps and rails, good for practicing new tricks.

Beginners can take a lesson here to help then tackle what is largely not a beginner’s resort. That’s not to say novices should stay away, it’s just that the resort is more of an intermediate level.READ NEXT: Village life, accommodation & nightlife
