Resort life

Off the slopes. Resort lodge restaurants are the only places to eat nearby and the only accommodation at the mountain is the Columbine Inn, where rooms and condos are available. The best bet for inexpensive food and accommodations is 19 miles away in the city of Ogden. Here you will find a large selection of everything, birds, booze and music, to mention but a few.

Snowmobiles: Snowcats drop you off at the top of Lightning Ridge providing 700 acres of powder. A 30min hike to James Peak gives access to a number of chutes and bowls. $8 single trip. Group tours availavle $80/125 half/full day accessing huge diverse virgin backcountry.
