Air & Style Beijing
Pros like Eric Willett (USA) winner of the birthday Air & Style edition in Innsbruck, Sven Thorgren (SWE) winner of the Air & Style Beijing 2013 and Olympic champion in Slopestyle Sage Kotsenburg (USA) will shine with high technical tricks and a smooth style.
Charly Weger and his snowboard photographer friend Andrew Hourmont first started the Air + Style Contest in Innsbruck. They only expected some hundred spectators but more than a few thousand showed up to see a single Straight Jump from each rider. From then on, it developed into one of the most influential snowboard events today.
Besides Innsbruck (1993 -1999 and 2008 - 2013) as a location, Air + Style events took place in Munich (2005 - 2008 and 2011), Seefeld (2000 - 2005) and Beijing (2010 - 2014). Over half a million spectators wittnessed the Air + Style live in over two decades of snowboarding history. Winning an Air + Style event not only gives the riders the fame and glory they deserve but also the Ring of Glory to prove your success. The best of the best have competed and won such as Terje Haakonsen, Shaun White, Kevin Pearce, Travis Rice and Mark McMorris. In 2013 the Air + Style celebrated it's 20th birthday with a two day event and a legendary never seen before riders field. All Air + Style contests are part of the World Snowboard Tour and are ranked as 6 star events, the highest ranking possible.
From 2014 on the Air + Style Company, the agency behind the legendary Air + Style contest, will promote and manage the KPark, Kühtai.
In 2014, former two time Air + Style champion Shaun White became the majority shareholder of the Air + Style Company. In the 2014/15 season Air + Style goes world wide with events in Beijing, Innsbruck and for the first time ever in Los Angeles. Add text here
