Best places to snowboard in Austria
We think these are the top 10 best places overall to visit in Austria.
1. St Anton
“By far the best freeriders resort in Austria and backed up by a world class village. It all comes at quite a price and the British invasian is leaving it less Austrian every year.”

2. Ischgl
“Ischgl has plenty of good wide intermediate slopes, and hidden off-piste stashes. A super fast lift system, a season that lasts until May, great terrain park, and the most full on apres in the Alps, completes the package.”

3. Solden
“Solden is one of Austria's best all round resorts, with some great intermediate terrain, and the craziest apres ski in the alps. ”

4. Mayrhofen
“Big area, with some decent freeriding, and maybe the best park in Austria. Has a big British seasonaire contingent, and the home of Snowbombing and the Altitude festivals.”

5. Saalbach - Hinterglem
“Good easy freeriding, and great intermediate slopes. Apres ski gets pretty crazy”

6. Zurs
“Great freeriding resort”

7. Obertauern
“It's definitely worth a holiday for people who like to smell powder every day and don't wanna hike too much. Freestylers will have fun in the park, especialy intermidate ones who complane about too small kickers and obsticles but wouldn't go over the big mamas (6m high kicker) either.”

8. Kaunertal
“Like a big resort but with all the crap bits removed and open long after the others close.”

9. Lech
“Fantastic Mountain Awful Town”

10. Zillertal Arena
“Combined with Gerlos this is one great big intermediate mountain to shred, perfect for easy freeriders and Dutch alcoholics”
