Kaprun, Austria
Resort life
Kaprun is a fairly large and stretched out affair. Having a car may save a lot of walking but there is also a good and regular local bus service. Around town, you get a mixture of the old and new with a typical Austrian flavour.

Evenings in Kaprun are laid back - check out Polletti's for great pizzas, beer and good music, from 5pm until late. Around the square near Poletti's are a few bars, including Killys which does cocktails and has live bands or Kitch & Bitter. The Pavillion bar is open for apres ski but if you want a really late drink, stumble to the Baum Bar or Kuh Stall.
Accomodation
Accommodation options are excellent and Kaprun will satisfy both rich and skint snowboarders alike.
