Apex Mountain, Canada
Introduction
Apex Mountain may be a small resort, but with it's down-to-earth atmosphere and great riding opportunities, it's no wonder that Apex is a popular place. Located in the sunny Okanagan Valley, Apex is known for its great natural terrain: bowls, gullies, glades and groomed cruising runs radiate from the rounded top of the resort's main peak, Mt Beaconsfield. If you're a novice or intermediate, head for the wide boulevards off the Stocks Triple chair, where you'll find half a dozen nicely graded, rolling descents. Notice how the trail names evoke the area's mining history - Motherlode, Gambit and Sluice Box.
