I don't have an extensive amount of visited ski resorts on my plate, I've been to Tignes, France and Sauze D'Oulx. Though I can say that what I look for in a resort; Sauze had it!!
The food was to die for! Notably cooked my a Liverpudlian named Vince! The bars and nightclubs are as you'd expect...far better when there are a large group of you and you're there to have fun!!
The slopes themselves were impeccable. Crack of dawn every morning we were on the pistes, a shade icy at first before the sun hits them. There are so many runs to choose from and the best part being barely any lift queue and barely anyone else on the slopes. Quite literally we had the runs to ourselves the majority of the week, I was frankly amazed ( a contrast from Tignes where we were battling for any patch of snow). I can wholey recommend Sauze to the people who really want to have a good time and aren't just "Uni-wastoids" looking for another party they can build their student debt on!! The only thing that stops this being a 10/10 is that I haven't been to enough resorts to give it top marks yet!! Peace.
good, but not enoughsnow!!
Tue 16 October 2007 by andy16kwent end of feb 2007 for a week, conditions were ok as snowed just before we got there but that was it, by the end of the week it wasnt too great, plenty of nice runs though and apparently they have a snow park, although we never saw it! nightlife is ok, all the bars are pretty spread out and you have to up n down a lot of hills which gets tiring. food was crap, there was a uk owned burger bar in the centre of town where we ate every night, apart from that it was usually under cooked. not a bad resort but theres definatley better out there
