Resort life
The village at the base of the slopes has a number of hotels and chalets to choose from, but nothing comes cheap as this place is stupidly expensive. Not all the accommodation is close to the slopes so expect to do some hiking to and from the base lifts. The resort has a host of sporting attractions, a lot of hotel restaurants but little or no cheap fast food, the night-life also sucks.

Grindelwald has wide-open groomers and some good freeride potential. It is fairly exposed to the elements meaning the weather can change quickly together with the quality of snow.
