A-Basin is a must-do if love to ride. This is not your typical Colorado Behemoth with rolling hills, endless motorways and piste maps you need a degree to understand. There are only 4/5 lifts and the area is manageable in a day, but what it does have is some of the best natural terrain (trees, kicks, drops) Colorado has to offer which it's a favourite with the locals and travelers in the know. The hike up the back country offers some hair raising opportunities down the chutes for the daredevils. A-Basin is not for beginers and basic service means it is never overcrowded. It's a gem and anyone who loves no frills high quality riding should head for the Basin as soon as a fresh dump is reported in the area.
