Sunshine Village opened today with fantastic conditions, after heavier than predicted snowfall all week long. Six lifts and over 35 runs are available, all covered in natural snow.
This adds to the terrain already available at The Lake Louise Ski Area and Sunshine Village. Half a metre of snow has fallen in the last three days in Banff-Lake Louise, adding to the strong base.
Sunshine Village joins just a handful of resorts already open in Canada, including The Lake Louise Ski Area, the first Canadian resort to open on November 5, and Mt. Norquay, open for weekends since November 13. On Saturday Mt. Norquay will open another lift, Sundance Carpet, for beginners.
