The lift will link a newly designed valley station near the centre of Lofer to the Schwarzeck plateau where there is a new piste.  Capacity is 2400 people per hour and will see queues reduced to a minimum.  

After a successful first winter season with our new Almbahn I, we are expanding our ski resort with the most modern chairlift available on the market. In summer 2012 a new 8-seater chairlift will be built to transport our guests up to the sunny plateau “Schwarzeck”, which starts operations in Winter 2012/13 The new lift, which will offers a spectacular 360 degree view of the surrounding mountains, as well as the additional pistes will enhance riders experience in Austria’s most beautiful “Almenwelt”.

All skiers, but especially children, will be transported completely safe, with the safety bar lowering automatically. Falling from the chairlift is impossible during transportation, as the safety bar opens automatically only when reaching the mountain station.

In addition, we are replacing the three training lifts in “Kinderland” at the valley station of Loferer Almbahn II with a modern 140m long covered conveyer band, offering optimal comfort in all weather conditions

The expansion plans including the new childproof chairlift and additional pistes are a perfect addition to our family ski resort.
