After dealing with some challenging weather conditions over the last few weeks, temperatures dropped just in time to allow our snow guns to operate which was topped up by a light dusting of natural snow on Tuesday. Temperatures stayed low which has allowed us to make snow and build trails in the main basin and learner areas. 

 

Tomorrow Cardrona will operate with limited lift facilities until snow allows us to open further terrain. The McDougall’s Quad Chairlift, Learner Conveyor and Kindy Conveyor will operate offering superb on trail skiing and riding.   Cardrona is offering half price day lift passes to reflect the limited terrain available.  This offer is for single day lift passes only and excludes any packages or other products.  We will be sure to keep you updated on the progress and scheduled openings of all other lift facilities.

 

To celebrate our first season under new Kiwi ownership we are throwing a big Opening Party this Saturday!!  The Opening Party will feature music from Hollie Smith and a variety of different local musicians to help get the snow dances cranking. The event is sponsored by 3CS, Dragon and DVS who are providing heaps of competition giveaways on the day, accompanied by facepainting for the kids.   Come on up and enjoy the music and good times at Cardrona. 

 

Cardrona is looking forward to sharing another great season with you and we are eagerly awaiting the winter storms to get more facilities operating, including our new intermediate terrain park ‘Antlers Alley’.    We are thrilled that we have managed to open on schedule for opening!
