Gastein Art On Snow Exhibition A Success
Nearly 1000 thrilled visitors have come to the biggest arts festival of the Alps.
Over 30 international artists on 1200 m2 of exhibition space helped the Art on Snow to uphold its reputation as summit meeting of snow arts.
The organizers can draw a positive conclusion of the premiere in the Gastein valley and already fix the date for next year’s edition.

The Art on Snow has again lived up to its name and presented winter sports art and an extended
exhibition of contemporary art this year. The feedback of visitors, artists and media
confirm the successful concept of this very special art festival. Martin Zeppezauer, CEO of
the Gasteinertal Tourismus Gesellschaft is pleased:
“As hosts of the event we look back on the first edition of ARt on Snow Gastein
very contentedly. The event not only perfectly underlined the long tradition of
Gastein as a venue for international sport and culture events, but also has
exclusively generated positive response from our guests and visitors.”
The success is also reflected by the immediate fixation of the new date for the next year:
from 2 to 10 February 2013 the ARt on Snow will again take place in Gastein.
Many new ideas are already buzzing in the heads of the organizers and especially the
field of snow and ice sculptures is planned to be extended.
