Horgmo wins X-Games big air with triple cork
Norway's Torstein Horgmo landed the first-ever triple cork at the Winter X Games to win the Big Air in Aspen
Heading into his last run, Norway's Torstein Horgmo knew he needed to land the first-ever triple cork at the Winter X Games to have a chance to win gold at Snowboard Big Air.
He did just that, landing a trick he had only completed one other time in practice.
"That was the second one (triple cork) ever," Horgmo said of his trick. "It feels really good."
Rookie silver medalist Sebastien Toutan's score of 79 was just one point behind the gold medal score of 80.

"I needed one point to get the gold medal but Torstein got the triple and Sage killed it as well," Toutant said of his performance.

"It is great to be up here with Torstein and Sebastien," and exuberant Kotsenburg said. "They have been killing it all year and it is pretty sick to be on the podium with them."
