After two days of manual labour building the Method stand at this years ISPO in Munich, on opening day today I managed to slip out and investigate a few of the fellow exhibitors.

On the good side, Burton have won one of the Gold Innovators awards with the the Burton Landlord Split board. Taking a split board but utilising their Channel binding technology,making switching between skinning and snowboarding a hell of a lot easier.

Another notable award winner is the Soloshot2. Trying to film yourself if your mates can't be arsed to do it, can be a nightmare, and impossible if you don't want to impale yourself on that gopro pole. The Soloshot, will automatically rotate, zoom and film you as you land that trick you've been working on for a while. For a limited area, its a clever little thing, and you can link multiple devices together a in theory film your entire park run.

One the bad side, Taiwan company Playmaker never fail to disappoint. Last year they introduced the world to bindings on a spring, and this year they've got a bit more traditional on their bindings, but are using the worse paint jobs and names you're every likely to come across. With naming convention straight from TV show catchphrase, you get the likes of the Cracky, the Wrinkle and my personal favourite the Fumingate, these bindings sure as shit stink.
