Jungle Announced as First Snowboxx Headliner
Mercury nominated Jungle are confirmed as the first act to be heading to Alpe D’Huez for Snowboxx 2015.
After confirming a brand new resort for 2015, Snowboxx Festival have announced a huge first headliner to join their inaugural alpine party. With more artists being announced daily, it’s evident that Snowboxx means business with their 2015 lineup.Jungle have spent the year touring the world and a summer of hitting up the hottest afestivals across Europe including show stealing sets at Glastonbury and Reading & Leeds.
They have firmly secured their place as one of the hottest bands in the world.Festival Director, Oli Senior said “We’ve been looking to put Snowboxx on the map as championing the best in new music. Jungle are making some of the most fresh and energetic tracks we’ve heard in a long time, and we can’t wait to have them play Snowboxx against the backdrop of the Alpe D’huez Mountains”
The creative duo once mysteriously known as just ‘J’ & ‘T’, Josh LloydWatson and Tom McFarland to their families, have produced one of the standout albums of last year and gained a reputation, both in the U.K. and across the Atlantic, for an expansive, unique live show incorporating a huge 7piece band. Their critically acclaimed self titled debut album, which charted in the UK top 10 and was shortlisted for the prestigious Mercury Prize, continues to receive constant airplay on all major UK stations, and is sure to be in many album of the year lists come December.
Blending the irresistible groove of contemporary bass lines with intricate percussion and unique falsetto vocals that leaves Jungle’s sound straddling genre’s and time. At once reliving the dance and soul of the ‘80s while landing straight at the heart of the disco revival that’s taking over UK dancefloors.
