Les 2 Alpes opens on 22nd October
Can’t wait to go skiing? Head to Les 2 Alpes in October; the resort opens from 22 October to 1st November (then re-opens for the winter on 3rd December).
A unique experience in Les 2 Alpes from the 22nd of October until the 1st November 2016! Two events (Enjoy the Glacier, on the 22nd and 23rd October and High Test Decathlon, on the 29th and 30th October) celebrating the opening of the glacier with equipment tests, meeting professionals, contests all in a family atmosphere!
New for 2016
The Belvedere des Ecrins, a Skywalk at 3,400 metres: a new skywalk has been created at the top of the glacier at 3,400 metres (Soreiller summit), where you’ll be blown away by the unique 360° views!
The Skywalk is 7metre long, overlooking the Vallée de la Selle, which is 1,400m down, and facing the magnificent Ecrins mountain range.
The Belvedere des Ecrins is free to access.

World Ski Awards
On 5 November 2015, Les 2 Alpes won the title of Best European Ski Resort for 2015 at the World Snow Awards in London.
This year, the resort is nominated at the World ski Awards in two categories:
World's Best Freestyle Resort 2016
France's Best Ski Resort 2016
The votes started on 3 June and will end on 23 September. Professionals from the ski industry, tour operators and media vote, but also the public.
