MOUNT BATTERSEA AT TELEGRAPH SKI & SNOWBOARD SNOW
After a 4 year hiatus the real-snow kicker returns to the Telegraph Ski & Snowboard Show, hosting live pro-rider stunt demos and international competitions The BRITS and The London Ride!
London Ride Freestyle Competition - 12:45 - 13:15
- Qualifying session at 10am before the main event.
Watch freestyle professionals battle it out on Mount Battersea in the return of the London Ride competition.
The first London Ride Big Air competition was back in 2003 at the Ski Show in Olymipia. It provided a vital stepping-stone onto the international scene for aspiring UK Freeskiers. It gave them the chance to compete with big named Pro’s such as Sweden’s Jon Olsen and France’s Laurent Favre. The UK riders got the chance to show off to the crowds and make names for them selves, impressing their sponsors. UK Olympians such as James Woods, Murray Buchan and James Machon have all competed in the London Ride in the past.
This year the London Ride is back bigger than ever with some familiar names but also a whole bunch of up and coming young Freeski stars all wanting to push the boundaries of the sport and make a name for them selves. It’s going to be one hell of a show!
