One of those innovations in recent times has been Perisher's Dashboard, enabling skiers and snowboarder to track their stats and other in-resort activities.

Since its inception in 2011, Perisher's Dashboard remains widely popular with resort guests of all ages and abilities. Skiers and snowboarders racked up over 1.4 billion vertical metres in 2012 across Perisher's four resort areas of Perisher Valley, Blue Cow, Smiggin Holes and Guthega, while taking part in various challenges and earning badges for milestones reached with thousands of dollars in great competition prizes won all thanks to Dashboard.

More than just a means to track personal achievements on the slopes, fun rivalries and friendly banter have emerged over time, with family, friends and work colleagues on Perisher's Dashboard comparing and bragging about their vertical metres, lifts taken and resort areas covered.

This season, an exciting new enhancement on Dashboard will be introduced by Perisher – Dashboard Pics. Now, visitors to Perisher will have the ability to share images taken by professional in-resort photographers with family and friends.

Perisher will have a team of Dashboard Pics dedicated photographers positioned daily in key locations around the resort for guests to have their photos taken on the go, free of charge. As the photos are being taken, the guest's lift ticket or season pass will be scanned and the images will be uploaded at the end of each day to their created Dashboard profile.

The seriously cool part is that once the Pics are uploaded, guests will be able to share the fun they are enjoying at Perisher from their smart phones! If they prefer, they can have the option after the day is done to relax, review and share their images from their tablets, laptops or desktops as well, plus upload their own images to share too. There will also be the option to purchase high resolution versions of the images taken by Perisher's photographers to keep as mementos.
