Ski Welt Spends 51 million for the new season!
The fastest 8-seater chairlift in the world | WiFi in the cable cars | automatic lift boarding aids with elevating platforms for children | even better runs, even more adventures – the SkiWelt has upgraded!
51 Million has been invested in the Ski Welt and those arriving this season can look forward to: Three new lifts, inlcluding the fastest 8-seater chairlift in the world, new adventure runs plus a number of measures to ensure even greater comfort, quality and safety. The SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixental is investing no less than 51 million euros into the coming winter season.
By far the largest project is the construction of the new Hartkaiserbahn in SkiWelt Ellmau: a state-of-the-art 10-person, XL gondola, one of the most modern cable cars in the world! Transporting 3,200 people an hour, the conveying capacity has more than doubled. All cabins are equipped with heated seats and WiFi and have disabled access. The top and base lift stations in Ellmau are also being completely rebuilt. At the top station lies the “Hartkaiser Adventure Eldorado” with its own children’s restaurant, child care facilities for infants (Ellmi’s Kids Club), a kids adventure ski school and a ski depot. The new lift station in the valley is barrier free, has a sports shop, heated ski depot covering 1,500 m2, restaurant, après ski bar and free underground parking with 150 spaces.
Boasting the new 8-seater Jochbahn lift – the fastest 8-seater chairlift in the world, naturally with heated seats and weather protection hoods – SkiWelt Brixen presents a particularly attractive, diverse, sunny and snow-reliable ski paradise, which will appeal to athletic skiers, families and beginners alike. Also completely new is the 6-seater Schernthannbahn in SkiWelt Hopfgarten. With heated seats, comfortable cushioning, bright blue weatherproof domes, automatic restraints plus an automatic boarding aid for children with lifting platform, the lift is undoubtedly one of the world’s most comfortable and family-friendly ski lifts.
Millions of euros invested in more comfort, service and slope quality
The Keat lift in Söll is being given a comfort upgrade: the 4-seater chairlift will be equipped with weather protection hoods and heated seats. The snowmaking facilities are also being expanded and improved across the entire SkiWelt, plus three new hi-tech slope groomers will ensure even better slope quality. Meanwhile, 90 percent of the 280 kilometres of ski slopes now have snowmaking – no fewer than 65 ultra-modern snow cats work night after night to ensure all the SkiWelt runs are in perfect condition every morning. As of this winter season, there will be five charging stations for electric cars available free of charge in the new Hopfgarten parking garage. In addition, the ticket counter area is also being extended here.
New adventure runs for the ultimate adrenaline rush
From this winter, SkiWelt Söll will be offering several new adventure runs for adrenaline junkies: the "Red Viper", a ski and boardercross line with timekeeping and the Funny Bird Slope – a run with countless obstacles and experiences in the Fun Area in Hochsöll. Plus they have the "Black Pipe ski route": the new backcountry ski route with plenty of powder and steep sections exposing gradients of up to 80 percent from the Hohe Salve!
Also new: an adventure slope with video recording on the Talkaser at SkiWelt Westendorf. Record your “best line” free of charge on your personal Skiline account. The video can then be viewed, downloaded and shared.
Likewise, the Schernthann-Foisching ski trail at SkiWelt Hopfgarten is completely brand new too: now beginners, ski groups and families with children can also access the family runs of Foisching more easily and more comfortably.
