By 6am Falls Creek resort had 5cm of fresh snow which continued to fall throughout the day. A late morning check  showed that the depth had increased to 14cm. The low temperatures have also allowed the resort to resume snowmaking that will complement the natural snow.

The increase in snow fall means that Falls Creek is ready to open Drover's Dream chairlift tomorrow, and then from Saturday Eagle Chair and also Gully Chair are set to open. Currently Falls Express, Towers Chair, Pete's Train and Mouse Trap are all open at the resort. 

At the resort of  Perisher excitement is also building for the coming weekend with snow falls of between 30-50cm predicted on Friday and over the weekend. Good early season conditions means tomorrow the Roller Coaster in Blue Cow will be opening, Guthega and Mt Perisher are also set to open this weekend. This means that by the weekend Perisher will be open for snowboarding in all four resort areas consisting of over 25 lifts.
