Snowstorm Blankets Colorado Ski Resorts
A significant fall snowstorm came through Colorado yesterday, enhancing early season conditions on the slopes of Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA) ski resorts.
Of the seven CSCUSA resorts that are open for skiing and riding, Loveland received a healthy 13 inches of new snow in the last 48 hours, closely followed by Copper Mountain where skiers and riders are enjoying 12 inches of brand new snow. Winter Park reported 11.5 inches of snow from this week’s storm, Eldora welcomed a fresh 9 inches, and Arapahoe Basin accumulated 7 inches of powder. Aspen Mountain, which opened for the 2014-15 ski season on Saturday, received 5 inches, and Wolf Creek added 3 inches.
This weekend’s storm was widespread and left significant amounts of snow at other ski areas in Colorado Ski Country as they prepare to open for the season later this week. Steamboat led the way with 17 inches of fresh powder, while Crested Butte and Monarch reported 10 inches of snow and Telluride welcomed 8 inches. Steamboat and Crested Butte are scheduled to open for the 2014-15 ski season on Wednesday, November 26 while Monarch, Snowmass and Telluride will open for skiers and snowboarders aiming to build up their Thanksgiving Day appetites the morning of Thursday, November 27. In addition, Sunlight Mountain Resort and Ski Cooper will open for the weekend on Friday, November 28.

On the mountain this a great place to ride with some excellent treeriding to try out and some cool carving runs. But off the slopes the place is way too stuck up.
