ISTM converges on Cortina d’Ampezzo
The cream of the world’s ski industry is set to converge on Cortina d’Ampezzo, the dazzling Queen of the Dolomites in northern Italy.
The chic ski town is hosting this year’s International Ski Travel Market from 12 to 14 March and an expected 65 international buyers – including tour operators and travel agents – from the US, Russia, China, United Arab Emirates, Israel and most of Europe will meet up with approximately the same number of ski resorts, hotels and other sellers from Italy, France, Switzerland, Germany and Austria.
This B2B event is being held at the 5* Grand Hotel Savoia, close to both ski lifts and Cortina’s famous pedestrianised main street of Corso Italia.
Following two days of appointments, workshops, meetings and networking, a fam trip will treat buyers to a day on the slopes of Cortina’s glorious ski area, with gastronomy featuring strongly on the programme both on and off the slopes.
Said Gabriella Talamini, Director of Cortina Marketing: “We are delighted to have this opportunity to showcase Cortina and the Dolomites to the international ski trade and are looking forward to welcoming ISTM to our area.”
Cortina is the only Italian member of the 11-strong Best Of The Alps organisation, part of the world’s largest ski circuit of Dolomiti Superski and in the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites.
