For a 3rd successive year Cristallo Hotel Spa & Golf has been named as “Italy’s Best Ski Hotel” at the reputable World Ski Awards 2015.

 

In a glittering gala evening hosted for a third year in the beautiful town of Kitzbühel, Austria, leading international names and decision makers in the ski tourism industry came together to celebrate the outstanding achievements of ski organisations from around the world.

 

A record number of ballots were cast by ski tourism professionals and ski consumers making it a huge achievement for the Cristallo Hotel Spa & Golf to be named “Italy’s Best Ski Resort” for a third time in a row, ahead of the seven other high calibre hotels in their category.  The World Ski Awards is the only global initiative that recognises and rewards excellence in the ski industry. Since its inauguration in 2013, the awarding body has been setting the high standards to which leading ski resorts now aspire to reach.

 

This latest award win comes at an exciting time for the Cristallo Hotel Spa & Golf as it enters a transitional period under new management. In May 2015, Giampaolo Padula was appointed as the new General Manager of the hotel. He has outlined his intentions to maintain and build the reputation of the hotel, which has been seen as Italy’s premier ski destination since its establishment in 1901. Situated in the exclusive UNESCO World Natural Heritage Dolomites in the historical town of Cortina d’Ampezzo, the resort is home to the most stunning mountain scenery in Italy.
