Salla is located in the Artic Circle and gets buckets loads of snow as well as regular appearances from the Northern Lights. It's a small resort but you will ride uncrowded slopes all week and be able to find fresh powder between the lifts

Ischgl has plenty of good wide intermediate slopes, and hidden off-piste stashes. A super fast lift system, a season that lasts until May, great terrain park, and the most full on apres in the Alps, completes the package.

Great freeriding mountain with excellent challenging runs on crowed free slopes. However, the resort is let down by the lack of slope side facilities, although what is on offer in Jasper is first class.

On its own slopes, Montchavin has nothing to offer advanced riders, but plenty to entertain intermediate carvers and total beginners - they will find the place seemingly designed for them by Mother Nature. H Freestylers are also presented with a park and pipe, but they are crap.

Fun little resort for a few days with plenty of things to jump off and a few nice powder areas
