Passo Tonale , Italy

I was there in the begining of February. Luckily, we got heavy snowfall during 1day and 2 nights - something like half a meter of powder. Otherwise sunny weather. There is a very nice black slope called Paradiso with pretty good possibilities for freeride. Slope from Tonale to Ponte di Legno is not really a slope, it is pain in the ar.e. To get to Ponte di Legnothere by cable car is mutch better idea - there is not much chances for freeriding there, but the slopes are empty and quite steep. In Passo Tonale are very good freeride places. Be aware that in Italy is a law, when you are skiing off-piste you have to have avalanche tranciever. We got stopped by police on skis and get 100 euro fine. I am snowboarding for 6 years, but in Tonale I got the best freeriding so far.
