Adelboden, Switzerland
Introduction
Adelboden, which links with Lenk, is a decent sized picture postcard swiss resort, located a short distance from the resort of Gstaad and close to the glitzy resorts of Wengen Grindelwald and Murren. However, unlike its neighbours, this is a less popular place making it that bit quieter with crowd free slopes. This is also not a resort favoured by tour operators, although a few do bus in the two plankers to mess things up. What you get to ride here is split into 6 areas all linked by lifts. Collectively, all the areas provide terrain that will keep novices and intermediates happy for a few weeks, while expert riders will have things sorted in a few days after tackling the blacks on the Geils area. The mountain has some nice diverse terrain that will bring a smile to most freeriders. It also has a good terrain park and some nice pisted areas.
New for season

05/06: replaced drag lift on Chuenisbärgli with a 4 seated chair
